Hey Guys,
Would like to report that i updated my MFB version 120 to the newest patch version 139.
Played and I found a problem, First it plays Quick games and Simming fine(a Lot faster now[;)])then i went to the league and play PC to PC week 14 Chic(Visitor) vs SD(Home) but as the Home team loads it hangs up and No ways to exit it but to unplug the PC. So I did that, then tried it again, this time i waited about 5 to 8 minutes for the home team to load but same senerio, i had to unplug the PC. Ok so now i tried a different game in week 14 GB at DEN hmmm that one loaded, ok so i compact and repair the league file and tried it again i chose Chic at SD, Same results, so tried a different game and it works, So i finally uninstall the game and reinstall it then i went and updated to V 120, Now everything works...So in short V 139 gave me problems and now im back to V120.


By the way, I LOVE THE FIREWORKS ON THE INDOOR QUICK GAME. THOUGHT THAT WAS NEAT.

If you play in window mode you can CTL+ALT+DEL without having to unplug... actually, I don't know why unplugging is required. resetting should be the most you should need to do.

Is this a custom league? Was the league reset prior to using with this new build? Was the home team that was causing the problem a human controlled team or a computer controlled team?

Ahh window mode, I can never get that one to work for me, I read the forums about it lots. yeah i tried ressetting the PC with just the button but for some reason its taking a while (impatients maybe) . thats why i stated that I have no other ways to exit.
Its a custom league.
No i did not reset the league for it has so much that was build on it.Did not want to start the league all over again.
Plus i had no lock ups on the prior versions that came. except for V139. and in all updates that i loaded i never reset.

anyhow im happy with v120.

Ahh window mode, I can never get that one to work for me, I read the forums about it lots.

Just create a text file in the game folder called Windowmode.txt and that should do it.

Unforunately league resets when moving from one beta to the next is a likely possiblity. In the process of fixing bugs and adding requested features, I sometimes need to change the database structure. I can only have the game update league database structures. I can't have the game update missing data. This is why league resets are often required from one beta to the next.

If you zip up and send the league file to support@wintervalley.com I can take a look at it and see what could be causing the hang.

Thats funny all this time ive been on windows mode[:D] no wonder im able to hit the window key and it gives me the task bar. I thought ill be on a small window or something(i remember now that ive read it was a large windows)

Anyhow thanks for the fast response...i think ill take it off window mode for it was mention that the game runs a lot more quicker and smooth.

And ill try it again loading 139 for cant wait for other suprises[;)]

I reloaded the latest Beta Patch(v139), Guess what, IT WORKS NOW!?

So only thing i did is Uninstall
Re install it (v095)
Patch it to (v120)
Then Patch to (v139)

Now its Good....Yeah!

hi.

You shouldn't need to go through all the patches in order. All patches and updates I release to the public are designed to be installed over top of the last gold build (which in this case is v095) without having to install all the previous updates.

Anyway, it's working now so I guess it's a moot point.

Oh, and the window mode is a small 800*600 window, it shouldn't be full screen unless your natural resolution is 800*600.

Hey fellas,

  Well i spoke too soon, after playing 2 sims and a pc to pc game i was back to my original problem. i was trying to play Seattle vs Phila but the home team would not load at all, so i had to reset the PC, i tried same week same team on simming but it freezes up on the sim menu,
   Also on those games that i simmed i had subscription errors hit F9,
and i also have problems with exporting stats subricption errors, Which i read on the other thread someone also having a problem....
  So im glad i kept all the previous Beta patches that was realease, i am now back to Beta V.120.(its so much stable for me who did not reset my league.)

Please zip up the league file that you're having trouble with and send it to support@wintervalley.com . Please include a description of the problem and include the exact game that is failing.

 I've looked at the league. The lock up is due to the league not being reset prior to use with this build. When the league database was loaded into the new build it was updated with new fields in the Players table. The game is expecting to find data in those fields for all records. Unfortunately records exist in the table without that data present (because the records were created with a previous build). This is what is causing the game to lock up.
 
You need to reset your league.

I went ahead and resetted my league[:(] will have to redo names etc of players[:(] But atleast i'll enjoy a lot more with new features[;)] i have a question though, i know its been posted before here but need to refresh my mind[:)] On all upcomming Patches, Do we have to reset the league each time?

IMO Yes. I personally would start a league after the official R3 is available.
