Coverage and Catching

Does the program account for how close the defender is to the receiver when calculating a catch for the receiver? It seems the only way for a defender to stop a pass is by deflection and the proximity of the defender has little result on how likely the receiver will catch the ball.

Part of this procedure was posted to the beta forum by David many months ago. I am unsure if he has made changes since then, but as I recall, the number of defenders in proximity to the receiver does make a difference, and then close defenders get a chance to knock the ball down.
When the playbooks are enhanced, we will get a clearer picture of any tweaks that will need to be done, but the new build coming up cleans up a bug that did not allow the man coverage to be set over or deep. I have been doing some test plays with double coverage that looks pretty good.
Obviously, there must be a balance maintained between the offense and the defense, so even covered receivers will sometimes make catches. Good quarterbacks can eat up a defense that way, and great receivers can make the grabs in traffic.
