... and loving it! I seem to be able to regain a lot of the fun that I feel has seeped out of OOTP in its latest incarnation. I love watching the games and I really like the layout, the reports, etc. I am aware that there are things I can't do in the demo that I would be able to when I buy the game - like editing a player's card, for example - but the demo doesn't run long enough to get to the Hall of Fame stage. Sooo, my question [finally!] is, Is it possible, in the full version, to edit Hall of Fame criteria?

I see 30 people have looked at this. Does no one know the answer to the question? Please?

Ok, since I know it's not in the main game UI, I took a look in the XML. Searched up and down, but could find no mention of HOF criteria. Sorry, I think the answer is no.

OK PadresFan, thanks for taking the time. It's a shame, but not a deal-breaker; I like what I see so far, so my only decision is whether I buy now or wait for the 2008 version, which people are suggesting may be out around Opening Day. Is that a reasonable expectation?

The quickest way to get your hands on the 2008 version is to buy the 2007 version, which will make you (automatically) eligible for the 2008 beta program, for free.

I do think 'Opening Day' is a reasonable expectation for 2008, but take that with a grain of salt - its based on Shaun's past performances, which as any investor will tell you, "Is not a guarantee of future results". He has not yet made any official announcement about the release date, and until he does your uninformed speculation is as good as my uninformed speculation [:D].

Are you working on a commission basis, Amaroq? [8D] In any case, I really like the idea of involving owners of the present version in the beta for the new edition, so I think Puresim probably has itself another customer!
