Landing Woes

The first few training mission fighter craft landings all went pretty smoothly but for some reason, the campaign mission landings are broken. The game simply will not recognise the landing. The ship will sometimes even lock still on the deck and allthough I can still turn and thrust, the ship will not move. The mission doesnt end and I am forced to "End Mission and Accept Results" from the menu.
Its kind of a bummer to go out and kick ass on your mission objectives only to come home and crash the bird trying to get a glitched out landing to work, or have it lock to the deck and accept a botched objective. Is there a workaround for this?

Perhaps the Matrix guys could create a sticky that details known issues as we/they find them.
Some of these seem so basic I don't understand why they weren't idenfied/resolved during testing

That or during the previos 4 iterations of the game.
Psycho - yep, happens to me loads. Solution: Don't bother landing yourself. Report you're going to land "Alt-I" then turn on "auto-pilot" (alt-M). It will land fine usually.

I kinda found a solution i think... I had origionally been trying to get the wheels to touch the deck and come to a stop on my own with the retro thrusters. Just for a laugh I slammed on the afterburner and came barreling into the landing bay at over 600kph. I was about half way between the floor and ceiling of the bay and nearly centered and the ship suddenly stopped and the message "Landing Sucessful" appeared. Apparently you dont need to stop youself. Neither do your wheels need to touch the strip on the floor. Been landing it like a pro ever since!
Ya know it kinda seems like I spend more of my time with game troubeshooting than I do playing. Other than a problem with the "Mouse Virtual Joystick" controlls, I havent ran into any more problems tho so maybe Ive worked through most of them.

aha, thats good. However can the rest of squadron now land following your example or will they all crash at the entrance to the landing bay?

Im not sure. The mission ends when I land and the rest of my squadron is usually still on approach. I tend to be a little hotter on the throttle than my comrades..
