For some reason I am unable to download the patch for CoTA. I notice also the download of the game has been stopped. Is there a problem here of which I'm not aware?

The patch download works for me. The server might have been temproarily down for maintenance. Please try again.

Thanks for the reply, I intend to try again. Just wondered about it as the Game is no longer available for download.

Well, I've just tried all my game patch downloads and none of them will open for download??? Could be the site IS down!!

I've tried every day to download this patch to no avail. Is there anywhere else I can find the patch for CotA? Incidently the ones which use other sites I can open/download
or can someone send it to me??

I've asked Matrix to step in here and see if we can work out why this is affecting just you. They should be in touch soon.

Hi, the site is up and running. I just checked and I could easily download from Germany.

It could be a bottleneck between you and the server or a bad hop.

If you have troubles downloading large files then we suggest you use a download client like "Stardownloader" available for free from www.stardownloader.com   It will let you resume disconnected or broken downloads. You can even pause and resume them whenever you want.

I just purchased the Game via download.
 
How do i know what it is patched to??
 
(WITP shows it at the Main menu)

During play there is a version number on the righthand bottom corner, right above the minimize button.  Mine says 3.2.141, which coresponds with the latest patch I can find on the Matrix website (COTA Patch v.2.141).

As Vance says, the version number is displayed at the bottom right of the screen in the Game. This consists of three number segments - eg 3.2.141. The first refers to the game number in the series ( ie. 3 = COTA ). The second refers to the patch number ( ie 2 ) and the last to the build number ( ie 141 ). We do many builds during a development cycle. The key one for you to watch is the second or patch number. Two is the latest for COTA.

Been playing the game and have tried to download the Narvik & Leros mods.When I try to play them I get a "Not the correct version of AA" or similar, I forget the exact words message.
 
On the set up menu there is a switch to ABOUT, where everyone one gets their name listed
 
Mine says its version 3.0.126   I only bought it 2-3 weeks ago
 
If this isnt the most current version, and according to the numbers above it isnt, then MATRIX deserves a kick in the rear end for selling a product that isnt up to date.[:@]

Sorry for any inconvenience. The standard Matrix procedure is to supply the original release version and then for you to download the latest patch and install that to update your game. The latest patch normally included all changes since the release version - so you only need one patch. They have been using this appraoch for quite a while now.
 
The original release version of COTA is 3.0.126. Download the latest patch from here: http://www.matrixgames.com/games/downloads.asp?gid=313
This will update it to 3.2.142.

And that seems to be the standard practice for other games I bought online. Actually Matrix for WitP went one better by issuing a comprehensive patch that includes all the current updates. I have one non-Matrix games for which I had to download seven different patches.

Its not a great option, probably easier for Matrix.
 
When I buy a Holden I dont expect to get an FJ and a load of parts...
 
Also having probs with the patch, have to try it again.
