Lockup

I do not plan to recreate this condition, so I cant say it was a fluke or not.
I had saved in a detailed battle. I returned to the save file a day or so later. I decided to just end the session, still in detailed battle. It only lets you leave and returns you to the screen for playing again. I selected to play a new game. When I tried to start it, it went to the screen with the quote, began to load, then flashed and changed to another quote and returned me to game selection screen, it did this several times and then when I tried to quit out of game it locked completely up.
I managed to get to Cntrl-alt-delete and it had 3 programs listed as running, 2 of them specifically labeled as from FoF and a third about graphics program ( if I remember right) I tried to cancel that program and it got really wierd from there, wouldnt end program, told me it was not responding and then I couldnt do anything except move the box around , creating off white color everywhere the box used to be.
I eventually had to reboot the computer to get out of it.
