NFL 2006 rosters

I just created the full end of season file for the 2006 season based on converted NFL 2K5 2006 rosters, the VPNFL draft classes from 1999-2003, the current players from 2003, and converted all the ratings to VPNFL ratings for FBPRO 98. I can attempt to take those ratings and convert them to Maximum Football ratings. The only thing I would need is an explanation of how each rating affects each player, or is it pretty much intuititive. If someone can send that to me, I can attempt to create the NFL 2006 end of season roster for Max Football.
Are the ratings from Max Football accessible through Microsoft Access? Can I export and import the rosters from Max Football into a comma delimited file or an Excel formatted file? Can I import them as well. If so, I can do this in a matter of a day or 2. I already have the FBPRO98 rosters all set and converting them through an Access database I can do in a day. Could someone let me know the process of exporting and importing rosters from and to Maximum Football.

So far i know.
1. The ratings are descirbed in the manual. This would be a start. I think DW has answered here some questions about ratings here so that the search function could help. So i know that the Hand rating does not have any effect on Centers (snaps).
2. The game uses as database Microsoft Access 97. The players are in the league mdb.
Perhaps other gamer have here a better insight.

Good news. I found a league file that I'm looking through now to try to find out how the mdb links to each other and how they link to the Maindata.mdb. Let me see what I can do. I'm doing this blindly b/c I do not have Max FB installed yet.

Here's an update. I'm in the final touches of creating an Access DB that will automatically put most of the starting players into the correct orders in the depth chart. I found out the reason why some of the players do not line up correctly. I have created a DB to fix that issue. My DB does not insert anybody that is not the starting lineup correctly as each team will have a different amount of positions (IE some teams have 5 CB's some may only have 3, even though Max FB views CB and S as DB's and not their individual positions). I was only concerned with the starting linueps for non special teams, so all the players that are not in a starting lineup will not have a DepthPosition number in the players table. Again, I'm only doing this to make it easy for me to convert the VPNFL FBPro 98 files I created into MaxFB NFL 2006 files.

That sounds like a very deep roster project. Will it enable us to start a NFL League without drafting players at random?

One question comes to mind, would the release of 2.0 make any currently creatied roster unusable?

Im not sure but I think if you were to copy the team file to another directory, then update to MF2, then just copy the league file back to the MF directory, you should be ok. The players names, rating etc. shouldnt be changed by moving from MF1 to MF2. Not sure you even have to copy it to another directory. When you install MF2 over MF1, the first time you go to open a league the game will prompt you asking one by one if leagues other than stock which it found in the directory should be loaded.
If you have modified a stock league, then yes you need to save that else where and then copy it back to the MF folder after you install. Otherwise the install will copy the stock league file that comes with it over the old stock file.

I would only do that if you have not played any games in a league with that roster. This way, the game can update the database structure without losing any data.
