Stuck in Firestorm

OK,I've wiped out both enemy fleets in Operation Firestorm.Now I'm stuck doing endless patrols for no reason.Nothing happens.What have I missed.

Did you get the carriers (Note: NOT a goliath class)? Killing one of them was what ended my campaigns. Otherwise you'll fly a bunch of empty missions for a while before it quits (I believe).
You can see enemy forces in the "forces" screen pre-flight.

Firestorm has 2 alliance fleets stationed in differant sectors right? I seem to remember having to transfer to another fleets cruiser before finishing this one up.

Oh yes, get transfer to other fleet, take cruiser group if you have rank and destroy enemy fleets on that system. I'm still at it so I'm not sure what happens next, but I guess after that fleets will move to other Hegemony systems where they destroy more stuff.

Operation Firestorm - destroying one of the carriers ended that campaign for me (not really a spoiler, just a warning - if you want the camp to go on, don't do that
). Everything else seems to be fair game.
Only in Nightfall does killing a carrier not result in the campaign ending - that one you have to wait for the story to unfold.
