For my wishbone college playbooks the offense has two formations, the full wishbone and a broken bone, in which a WR replaces one of the HB and lines up in a slot postion. To run a reverse play I created a third formation, it looks like the broken bone, but the WR that is in the slot position is now RB3. I then created a reverse play with RB3 getting the ball for the reverse.

For a reverse, an item would have to be changed in the game: the WR would need to be able to take a Hand off/Pitch To:. A RB can use Hand off/Pitch To: logic, so a reverse could be done if the WR could receive the pitch from the back.
The same is valid for an end around play, where the QB hands off to the WR.
A double reverse with WR players would require the WR to be able to both hand off and accept a hand off.
If the WR is able to take a handoff, then the defense should be able to key him as well. Both items are on the Wish List.
