In my recent game I have lost two carriers very early in the game (I guess it was turn 12),their squadrons going down with them. After a couple of weeks the squadrons where built again an sent to Noumea. Then again I lost two carriers like the first ones. I looked in the Reinforcement Schedule and the carrier- squadrons were listed but the turn they should arrive in the theater noting happend. My opponent told me that destroyed carrier- squadrons are never replaced and was very surprised that I got the squadrons from the first two carriers replaced.
Could someone tell me whats going on??

Well I have been playing this game nearly three years and I am not sure myself. USN sqds do seem to be replaced but do not arrive till 6 months after their carrier was sunk. Sometimes however they just disappear without trace.

IJN carrier sqds do not come back if lost with their ships, ever.

I never experienced complete destruction of carrier squadrons but my understanding is that they should come back as replacements.  However, sufficient planes of the required type should be available from the pool to reconstruct the unit.
