Supply in Detailed Battle

I'm sure this is available somewhere, but I can't find it. What determines if a "unit" gets its own supply wagon? I went after Lee in Fredricksburg last night with two armies and a Corps, and they all arrived!

SO, I have 250,000 men, and two dedicated supply wagons (10th Div, and 3rd Corps), I also had 8 of those slow poke general wagons. Needless to say it almost cost me the battle.

Also, while I'm posting, in the rule book it says something about "Maximum number" of brigades in combat. Does anyone know if this applies to detailed combat as well as quick? At first I thought the reason I was missing wagons was because of troop density.

I have another related question.  If a brigade ends detailed combat while having a supply of 0.  Will that effect his Strategic supply after the battle?

Supply – A unit’s individual Supply is also shown. Supply is spent in combat by firing and counter-
firing. Units begin with the same level as their strategic Supply. Likewise, at the end of battle, they return to the strategic map with the level of Supply they had at the end of battle.

Two get a supply "Cassion" a container must have 20 supply, so a Union Division [and poor logpack] with 5 BDE needs an average of 4 strategic supply

"Normally, each group whose directly attached brigades have a total of at least 10 levels of strategic Supply in the turn before combat will start a battle with one supply caisson.

Logistical Staff ratings of “Poor” or worse require 20 levels of strategic Supply

groups with Logistical Staff ratings of “Good” and have 20 or more total levels of strategic Supply begin the battle with two caissons.
