Error message!?!

Hi all,
Good to finally join the MB!
Firstly a big thanks to all those involved for updating an already fantastic game!
Secondly, a question. Playing on the latest version and whenever I try to examine any of my carrier airgroups it comes up with an error message saying something like "warning memory overload/limit" or something like that and I can't properly look at/modify any of my carrier groups! Tried it for both Ami's and Japs and it occurs for both of them!
Anyone else seen this?
Any ideas>
Thanks
Steven

Your lower 640kB of memory are not free. You need about 600kB of lower Memory to run Pacwar, because it is a DOS-Game. There are massive possibilities to change the amount of free memory.
They were all discussed here in this forum.
Try "memory problem" as a search word and you will be able to find the method that fits best to your problem.

The above advice may not apply if you are playing on winblows 2000. On that OS, good luck, you'll need it.
You can play with the memory error, lust hit the space or C key once or twice and the change menu will appear. You can then change the planes. That's the only thing that you really need to get into the carrier air groups for. The carriers repair their damaged plance so fast, that you rarely have more than 3 damaged planes in any CV air group.
Don't start the matrix "front end" and you might see the error dissappear without any fiddling. That's how i got it to work because I was limited in what i could do with a corporate build on my machine. I put a shortcut that started pac.exe in a desktop folder and I was good to go.

I have tired the various suggestions listed for win 2000 to try and overcome the out of memory error message when trying to access carrier air groups and land units being carried by transports. But these do not work for windows Me.
Suggestions please to overcome these concerns.

Actually, Windows 2000 works quite well with no memory problem, if you right click on PAC.EXE and choose properties. Then under memory, set expanded and extended memory to none, and set conventional memory to 640 and hit apply, then OK. It will then work properly, even clicking on the MatrixGames frontend. The conventional memory gets reset to Auto by itself, but it still works.
Hope this helps,
