I am thinking about purchasing a laptop so that WITP can go with me on trips. I've had too many already where I've gotten 'turn-withdrawal' symptoms! Has anyone tried this on their pc running Vista?

Oh! Just saw the thread below on this!

Vista's guts have few differences with XP, so I wouldn't expect any incompatibility problems. WitP is not exactly a cutting edge game as far as system resources go. It might run kind of slow on a laptop with less horsepower than a desktop, but it should run. It's the real time games with heavy use of graphics that are tempermental about what computer they are on.

That said, the first releases of Microsoft's operating systems are almost always very buggy. If possible, it might be a better idea to get a laptop with XP and upgrade to Vista after the first service release.

i upgraded my 1/2 year old sony-laptop to vista. no problems since two weeks.....
the only thing is: make shure there are drivers for your hardware... so regarding to drivers buying a vista preinstalled laptop ist the safer way...
and yes witp runs fine on my laptop....
