Thanks! Not at all, i devise tests for networking products!

The terrain on this attack is not restrictive, so it was easy to form a workable plan.

Terrain is my downfall, eg, i'm getting rocked by the restrictive terrain at the hilltop objective on the 'Sarantaporon: Tac Ex - Bde Day Attack' mission!

You sure use the right terminology, so you fooled me [;)]

My problem has always been the roads and being over confident on the mobility they offer. Sure, on tank can travel at great speeds accross a road, but make it share the same stretch of road with a whole brigade and things tend to slow down quite a bit.

Yes,
I read the US Army field manuals quite a lot which really gets you to grips with all the terminology. However reading the field manuals is far cry from being a succesful commander :D

Armchair general are running a fab series of articles called Tactics 101, which is a condensed and structured guide to how the professionals do it, well worth going through!

Speaking of which, I eventually acheived a decisive victory on the 'Sarantaporon: Tac Ex - Bde Day Attack' mission :D

Yes, that is an excellent series. I guess we should promote PWC as a good place to try all those lessons in. [:)]

I am fairly experienced with tactical military planning and IMO COTA/HTTR are some of the best games I have encountered to easy simulate different dynamics of warfare. Real tactics works, and real mistakes can be unforgiving.
