I've downloaded a number of mods and installed them in the plugins folder but when I click on "Mod Swap" all I get is an audio cue - sort of a clunk sound - but nothing opens. Any ideas?

Go to your support folder
 
C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Support\CloseCombatCC.exe
 
Run CloseCombatCC.exe as you didn't do a full install the first time.
