This team does not have a valid team profile.

What does this mean?

Every team needs a team profile to organize the roster. The team profile defines the number of players for every postition and the skills a player needed. So when profile includes 3 QB the team will have 3 QB. When the skills for all QB are Pass Strength and Intelligence the AI sorts the players accordings these criterias. Without such a profile the AI is helpless. The profile has to match the roster size.

Tullius, the first two numbers in the name of the profile have to match the roster size. I am running a league with 53 man rosters. I renamed the stock profile which I believe was called "45_45_strongpass.txt" to "53_strongpass.txt". Although the stock profile was for a 45 man roster the game will fill in the remaining players.

You can either import them, nmleague has several on fbmax.com or you can make your own by going team profile at the stage right before the draft.

You should be using the in-game team profile editor to make these changes so the game can enforce the restrictions on use.

Could someone put some screen shots to where this editor is because I can`t find it.

[&:] OK, dumb me!  In the Screen Shot there is a position of SB/TE.  I thought I knew everything there was/is about football, but I do not know the reference to "SB"!  Is that a Set-Back, or a Wing-Back that you would use in a Full-House Backfield, or something else?

SB = Slotback. It's a position specific to Canadian rules.

Actually, the slot back position is also used in American football.  The Philadelphia Eagles were famous for using a formation called the "Slot-T" in the 1950s.  A slot back is a receiver positioned between the TE/OT and the WR "in the slot" between them.  I imagine Dave uses this designation to facilitate DB coverages.

Interesting formation!  I would think that the TE is on the line, and the SB is off the line, but I guess either works.

The SB is off the line.  Think of it as a semi-wide flanker.
