AI Abilties

Sitting on the fence regards this one and would like some honest feedback. To start please refrain from 'PBEM is the way to go' - I am fully aware of that - I am only looking at appraisals of SSG's AI here and if it poses a challenge against a moderate player. As a reference I have the original TAO, KP-ATD and BIN, and found the strategic AI aspects to be lacking. I am intrigued by the supposed revamp of the AI system and want to know how it performs in practice. Thanks in advance.

I find it to be one of the best AI's out there. If you don't play in ways that game the system, and play according to a plan that would make real world sense, it does very well. I've seen some people complain that it's easy, but I find it pretty capable of beating me handily most games. For the operational scale, I think it's the best AI going at this time.

Glad I'm not the only one the AI is giving a run for their money[:D]

Brits in Gazala have been the weakest so far... they start out gangbusters... seemingly ready to overrun the Afrika Korps and then seem to flinch when they have a chance to eliminate my forces.

Market Garden and Saipan have been more than adequate. Haven't played Novo enough to comment.
