A quick question regarding promotion.

According to the manual promotion to Lieutenant is at 2000 points and Lt Commander at 5000. However I have over 6000 points and am only a Lieutenant. I only got promoted to Lieutenant at about the 5500 mark.

My question is this, is this normal and the manual is incorrect or is it a glitch in the game- found a couple of irritations already, including the game deciding to not accept the controls I had mapped and worked perfectly well fo 4 days in mid-mission, no hardware changes or anything.

If the manual is incorrect and the points required for promotions are higher, what are the values? If promotion is not based on points alone then the what the heck is it based on?

1.what you said about promotions is strange because it has worked just fine 4 me
2. the controls thing, what do u mean by it didnt accept them(crash, do strange things)
 
also, if it started screwin with ur headin, it might have been because u minimized game because mine gets screwy if it minimizes

I also have not recieved a promotion to LtCom, and at 6.4k points.

If this is a bug, how would I go about fixing it?

Are you going by your teams score in the campaign, or by the personal score in your logbook? At the end of Operation Highland, my team had a score of around 16,000 or so, but my own personal score at the end of the campaign was 5035, the last mission pushed me over the score needed for the promotion, only it won't let me transfer to a larger ship for some reason.
