Ship DEF'ing details? Anyone still have them

I am debating on starting my Robotech mod back up again. But do we have any websites out there for Ship Def'ing support? Even back when SS was out, this sort of source material was a hard find.

Any word on Magic 2.0 as of yet? It was close to being read before the final patch on SS... or is it still MIA?

Check this site for detailed deffing information. No tutorials... it's still exacting and time consuming.  [:D]

Magic 2.0 is out and available... but it isn't completed. No poly manipulation yet. It's great for adding meshes though.

I build and manipulate in verson 1.5 and apply the textures in 2.0. No word yet on when the final completed version of magic will be available.

I think the availiable choices for texture map formats has gone up in Starshatter 5. Magic2 seems to cope with reading them, though I admit that I really don't get texture mapping really - at least not using magic 2.

For example, why, when I change the material's spherical/planar/cylidrical whatever mapping, does it not preserve this when I go back? I suspect there's an important point around somewhere...
