Dark Side of the Moon

Well boys and girls, I have had PBEMs against may may people but never have I had such a dark and painful game as I am having now against "Honda". Even in those dreadful times fighting against Sneer there was always a ray of hope, but the war against Honda...well I can see no light at all.

It is now the 4th of July 1942 and he holds most of Australia [:(] along with most of India and China and just about every other darned thing that you care to think about.

And it has been a bloody bloody war with allied shipping losses at well over 400 (all of the USN carriers as well). 4000 planes lost, and the troops ! Oh it is a horror story beyond belief !

I have been to the Dark side of the Moon, and let me tell you all....it is cold a very very black.

You're lulling him into a false sense of absolute victory?

I plan to slowly take back all of AUSTRALIA and then slowly slowly fight my way back into Java, capture the oil fields and slowly strangle him to death.

Good luck. Looks like it's going to be a loooong war!

The good news is that you will be getting a lot of carriers in 43. With such heavy combat, his pilot pool must be drawn down at this point. Unless he is training pilots in the hinterland attacking remote bases.

His armies are probably spread fairly thin too. If you can trap and destroy his army that invaded Oz, you will probably wipe out some of his best divisions.

He might not even get to '43. Check the scores...

Though they could agree to continue after Jan 1, 43 if Honda gets an auto victory.

Hi girls :)
Autovictory is not an issue. We are playing this till the end! It has been agreed upon from day 0.
I'll post a description of operation to date when I catch time...
JFBs around the world rejoice! While you still can...[;)]

no offense..but HOLY CRAP. Wow... Youve GOT to make an EYES ONLY AAR thread without Honda so we can all spout of on our best ideas on how to get you back on track. Of course Im a JFB and a newbie so Im not any help, but coming back from this should provide lots of debate!  You lost one of your carriers to Long Lance torpedoes I see.. its pretty rare the computer lets the CVs be engaged so thats cool to see. Though not from your point of view I suppose.
