I am able to download new sceaniros,ub Zip them to my game folder but they do not show up on the Sceanior list and I cannot play them. I am using SPWAW v 4.0. I have not downloaded SPWAW Sceaniro Manger. Can anybody help? I have o noted that some of the new sceaniros (sceaniro depot)have same number as existing sceaniros.

Hi Chuck...

First make sure that you are installing the new scenerios to the scenerio folder of SPWAW. it looks something like this...

X:\MatrixGames\Steel Panthers World At War\Scen

where X equals the hard drive letter you use

And yes, some of the new scenerios do have the same number as the existiing files in that folder.

Two ways you can get around that if you don't want to overwrite the existing files.

1) Rename the existing folder from Scen to Scen1 and then create a new folder and name it Scen and install the new senerios to the new Scen folder

2) Rename the new scenerios by using a number that is not in use by any existing file in the Scen folder

Also, have you tried looking in the manual and see if it has information pertaining to that?

I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has a better solution.

Thanks Gort!
After much, much.much trial and error I had figured out the first part that is including.../scen in the extraction routing. I now realize that I replaced some of the origanel scenarios. I looked every where for info on adding new senarios but could not locate any data. My problem is that I am brand new to any SP. My previous experience has been with Talonsoft' Campaign Series, where you only have to extract to the game folder. It might be worthwhile to include extraction procedures at the download site.

You're welcome Chuck...

You can easily replace any lost scenerios if you still have the original download file of SPWAW 4.0.

Open the zipped file of SPWAW 4.0 and find the Scen folder. Copy that Scen folder into the playable folder of the same name.

That should restore all the original scenerios.
