No Sound after upgrading to V4.0

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I have the sound set to "ON" in Prefernces.

No sound at all or some of the sounds are missing? Try uninstall and reinstalling?

I too am having a sound problem. When I first installed the game, v3.1, the sound worked beautifully. Then after the mamoth download for v4.0 I installed that and the sound became intermitant. It works when I first start game and in intro movie, but when playing I only get some sounds once in a while. I have a soundblaster awe 64, and this may or may not matter but when I try to play the wav file by itself in windows it doesn't work. I have also upgraded to 4.2 by now and still no sound.

Well I figured out my problem. I had installed the upgrade on my D drive with the orginal directory on C. So I uninstalled, and then reinstalled everything in the same directory. And now the sound works. I hope this may help.
