MMCC3 router issues

I've noticed a lot of the trouble players have with routers is related to mmcc3 getting the local ip (from the LAN) and forwarding it to the mmcc3 server. It seems that if you have a LAN active while starting mmcc3, it uses the wrong ip for the duration of the session.

It seems this prevents attacking and also erases your surviving forces after each battle.

Anyone found a way around it? Perhaps by starting a game with the LAN not activated?

The programmers are now looking at this issue.
