Well, since Erik Rutins has written this elsewhere, I can say that a limited (perhaps one-week?) public beta release is very close. There are just so many new features, and so many new ways of playing the game what with the additional options and scenarios, that it is simply impossible for us to test everything ourselves. We'll release the beta patch as soon as all known problems are solved, in the hopes that you guys will find any others that might exist before the "gold" release -- which means that you'll be getting a patch that is essentially considered ready, until one of you tells us otherwise.

That's great news! I certainly would not object to the idea of a beta first. All of the FoF fanatics would love to play it at any stage. [&o][&o][&o]
