A Question for Jason, If I May

Is it permitted to reveal to us what nations will be included? I presume we will see the Far East Project countries. I was hoping for additional countries like Serbia, Ethiopia, etc.

Also, putting all the games under one roof, as it were, I suppose that the terrain will include NWE, MED, TRO, DES, and TEM. What about for the Eastern Front, anything there?

And finally, will the terrain.bmp files be upgraded or revised?

Thank you for your time.

Give me a couple/few days and I'll hunt down an answer for you. I can say there are a lot of new additions!

I don't believe that the terrain.bmp files are going to be updated in this go around (possibly in a future patch), but all terrain tiles for WF, EFII and RS will be available!

Hope that helps
Take care and good luck

Seriously? I thought that the first release would be just the content of the World at War compilation with some updates. If there are new national forces that would be cool. I'm reading "Nomonhan" by Alvin D. Coox right now, so I'm primed for some Japanese versus USSR Far East battles.

Yes indeed, completely serious.

Jason,

Thanks. I appreciate your time and your response. I think that XP compatibilty and the new nations alone will make this pretty exciting. I am quite eager for the new release.

Same here, I will be buying this one the day it's released... These games got me into "real" wargaming, and I can't get the originals to run on XP without freezing the whole PC no matter what I try.  I'm checking the matrix site every day now, it's been a LONG time since I was this excited about a game release :)

Anyone know what resolutions the update will run at?  I'd love to see it at full 2560x1600.  Would give a nice wide view of the landscape.
