Hi

Just a quick suggestion, could the ships factors be printed on the rear please so that flipped units can remain that way making it easier admin for naval battles.

Thinking about it would be useful to have ground unis combat factor on the rear as well.

Sorry if been suggested already just pop by the forum occassionally for news.

Carry on the good work Steve.

regards

Phil

As I understand it, unlike cardboard WiF, MWiF counters do not "flip". Instead, they have a series of traffic-light-like flags that indicate the counter's state. This means that the counter's scores should always be visible - at least when they are on top of a stack.

Amwild is correct.

The unit depiction is always the same, not only when it is shown on the map, but also when it is shown in any of the forms, (e.g., air/land/naval combats, unit review, unit pools). The status indicators around the top and left side of each unit are only 'lit' when there is something special about the unit (e.g., disorganized, already moved this phase, has not moved/is capable of moving this phase, out of supply, damaged, transporting another unit).

There is one exception to the counter depiction being static: some of a unit's factors are changed on the fly if they are modificed by circumstances. For example, if a fighter/bomber is flying as a bomber, its air-to-air factor is reduced. The changes to the unit's depiction do not reflect any permanent change to the unit's internally stored factors, but rather perform a calculation that players playing over the board do in their head - and have to remember to do. So, tactical facotrs over a forest hex are halved. Strategic bombing factors when flying at extended range are halved. And so on.
