Can you add new entries to the unit list if it's based on a present unit for icon and graphics? I've experimented with this by basing units off current units, but it seems hardcoded as far as the units showing up to be able to be produced. But maybe I'm not doing it right and there is something I'm missing.

I don't know, but I doubt it, and I think Eric B. said no awhile back, not sure.

I am starting to diddle around with the Guns.txt, writing new and more accurate descriptions, and will modify costs, upkeep, and gun performance stats to get more accurate and realistic weapons with what weapons are already provided. I wish to make it so the CSA can't have 10" Rodman New Columbiads, 15" Dahlgrens and Rodmans, and make it so the USA cannot use Whitworth fieldpieces (although they bought 6 or so, but didn't use them in combat) nor Blakely fieldpieces (if those are in the game, I can't remember offhand). The Dahlgren Rifles class will be changed to represent 9" Dahlgren Smoothbores and the few Dahlgren Rifles made (most were 50lbs or so and were more or less experimental). I believe that I have determined how to limit what side gets what weapon.

I will probably get rid of the 15" Rodman class and make it represent 11" Dahgrens.

The 20" Rodman and Dahlgren will be gone, replaced by a combined 15" Dahlgren and Rodman class, even though the 15" Rodmans, what few were made, were used in Forts in the USA and never saw combat that I know of and have never found anything that states the few 15" Rodmans ever saw combat.

The Richmond Rifled Musket will be made to be equivalent to the US Springfields, which is what the Richmond was, a converted 1855 model Springfield.

I will lower the costs and upkeep for sure on about everything, along with weapons' performance adjustments.

Chris

*Bump*

Dont you think some small arms should be added then as well? Wonder why there is no Tyler TX rifle, Palmetto Musket, Billharz carbines, Harpers Ferry asoasf , and 14# James and Tredegar Art

Hi,

I have tried adding the Tyler Texas Rifle to the Gun.txt-file, but the game seem to crash when I start it up. Have anyone had succes in adding weapons? Or is it impossible?

Kind regards...
