Louis Drucke = Walter Johnson?

There's something terrible wrong here. First, let me say right off that I have been playing computer baseball sims for many years, back to the days of Earl Weaver Baseball. The long list includes Strat-O-Matic, APBA, Diamond Mind and OOTP. So I think I have a fairly good idea of how these things are supposed to work. I bought Pure Sim several weeks ago and recreated the American and National leagues, starting in 1910. I've played 12 seasons and here are some "career" stats so far:
Babe Ruth (1918-1922) -- .301 BA, 34 HR, 325 RBI (he's never hits more that 11 HRs or knocked in more than 81 runs in a season)
Joe Jackson (1910-1920) -- .314 BA (he actually hit .356 before Landis tossed him)
Ty Cobb (1910-1922) -- .301 BA (.366 in real life. His best yearly RBI total in the sim is 82. He actually has six seasons with over 100 RBI.)
Red Oldham (1912-1920) -- 1.97 ERA to lead both leagues (He was in real life a mediocre pitcher with a 4.50 lifetime ERA)
Louis Drucke (1910-1917) -- 1,910 Ks to lead the both leagues. (In reality, he struck out out about 200 batters in four forgettable seasons.
I could go on and on, but I think ya'll get the point. When Cobb becomes nothing more than a decent hitter and some pitcher named Louis Drucke is Walter Johnson reincarnated, something is screwy. I'll assume I've not configured soemthing correctly or that the Lehman database that downloaded with the game is cockeyed. I've quit playing because the the results are so silly, and I hope someone out there can straighten me out because I like the sim's interface.
Thanks
