OK, so are these only important to the draft?

Im pretty sure the profile also is what the AI uses to balance the roster. Im pretty sure it follows the profile as far as how many players at each listed position.

Team Profiles are more than draft profiles. They are used to ensure the team has the correct number of players per position, as well as the skills for those positions. A Team Profile is the make up of the team, it's more than just a draft list, although it does that too.

Well, for some reason no matter what you do with the profile the AI never puts TE's or CT's in the starting depth chart. I have actually started having any computer teams NOT draft TE's or CT's because they are wasted roster space. I just have them draft WR with TE skills and draft OL instead of CT.

Hi all,
That's why I suggested a simplified depth chart and roster positions in another thread.
We don't need TE and CTs...we need OLs and Receivers...let me pick which athlete is best suited to start (depth charted) in TE, FB, CT etc, etc...
Jay
Just my two cents.

Since I saw this thread at the top, I wanted to ask, HOW DO I CREATE PROFILES???
When I go to select profiles, I only have four to choose from, one of which is useless (QBs in first three rounds and WRs in next five rounds).
I started drafting and realized only three positions were chosen in the first round: QB, RB, and LB. I want to change up the league where every team is unique AND I can change a team's profile based on what their needs are or go for the BPA (in a way) style.
Any suggestions?

pick a team and click "View Team"
Scroll the Change View window back or forward with the arrows. Stop on Team Profile.
Here is where you can change the profile or load a saved one.
To make changes, the team should be human controlled. Once you have the profile set to your satisfaction, export it. Name it so you recognize it. This exported profile can be imported to any team. Also, you could stay on one team and create multiple profiles. A profile isnt specific to one team until you import it to that team.
You may not be able to make changes after a draft. I think it only allows it before the draft. But if you feel like getting your hands dirty, use windows explorer to go to the team profiles folder C:\Matrix Games\Maximum-Football\TeamProfiles
The profiles are simple text files. Poke around in them and they are fairly straight forward.

Thanks for the help! I think I'll try to make smaller profiles for smaller drafts.

What am I doing wrong? I tried to make several profiles, but I cannot get Maximum Football to recognize them!
League specs:
45 man roster
10 round draft
Here are the contents of a text file I made:
Named 10_45_Defense Heavy.txt
Maximum-Football Team Profile File
Rounds:10
RosterSize:45
TeamID;Rnd;Pos;Criteria 1;Criteria 2
2;1;LB;Speed;Agility
2;2;DL;Block Avoidance;Strength
2;3;LB;Speed;Block Avoidance
2;4;DL;Speed;Block Avoidance
2;5;DB;Speed;Strength
2;6;DB;Speed;Coverage
2;7;DL;Speed;Block Avoidance
2;8;DL;Strength;Block Avoidance
2;9;QB;Intelligence;Pass Accuracy
2;10;DB;Coverage;Speed

Anyone? I want to get my seasons rolling, but I don't want a draft where every team selects either a QB, RB, or LB in the first round.
