I'm trying to find a web-site or book that has a timeline of the conflict in the pacific. In particular, I need something that is on a daily or at least monthly level with tons of detail.

Does anyone know of a resource like that>?

Samuel E. Morrison U.S. Naval Operations World War Two. A truely great series first published in the 1950's and has been in reprinted several times. 15 volumes including a USN ship listing. The last reprint (maps pictures are not equal in quality as early reprints). I have found publications at (Amazon, eBay, Public Library.)
