Does anyone have this game anymore? I like it alot, but since getting a new computer, Compaq Presario 7000US, with Windows ME, I can't even get it to run!! Has anyone ever had this problem? It will install, but trying to run, it just sits there, double-clicking on the exe. does NOTHING!! I never had any luck with installing the Win95 version, must run it thru DOS. It is an unsupported game now, I know it was one of the games that never really took off, but I really enjoy it, hoping someone else does too, and can help.
Here is my machine specs;
Compaq Presario 7000US
1.2ghz Athlon CPU
128mb RAM
32mb Nvidia TNT2 (with updated drivers)
SoundBlaster 128PCI
Direct X 7
Windows ME
Thanks in advance.

I have it and it works fine on my HP 4550z(modified).
It worked on my old 486 when I ran win95 on it as well.
I might hazard a guess that your soundblaster 128 drivers might not be totally directx compliant. Sound cards seem to be a common culprit nowdays.
All the "General" series, star, fantasy, allied, pacific, and panzer work fine on my computers.
My 4550z is currently:
win 98se
directx 8
voodoo 3 3000 (your nvidia card is the other suspect)
celeron 466
192 meg of ram
oddball soundcard-56k modem combo card that came with the computer (yet it seems to work quite well with directx and soundblaster dos drivers)
I would try using a cheaper 16 bit soundblaster for a while and see if it works with that. If not that, then suspect that nvidia card.
thanks, John.

Thanks John, very strange, because Panzer General works fine, just not this one, weird huh? Must be some difference in requirements or engine or something!! Thanks for the tips though!!
