True, but full price is a fair price as far as this game goes. I've never known anything to to come close when it comes to hours/price paid, ACOW was close but still didn't win.

True, by the time my 3x3 PBEM is done i expect the cost per hour to be about $0.00000001...of course I will be 83 and wont care. [:D]

I guess it's a sign of the following of this game that the used copies for sale are few and far between.

It must be a good game - I've been looking on ebay for months. I'm sure the game is well worth full price but if memory serves me correctly that full price was about $20 less back in December I'll stick to Pacwar until it comes on sale again I suppose. If my wife could tell the difference between Legend of Zelda ver 6million and a real game I might be in here playing you guys instead of looking for a copy

You're going about this all wrong. You need to tell your wife you have decided to cut back on game-buying, that you are going to limit yourself to spending less than $100 on games for the entire year. Then you download WitP from the Matrix website and dive in! [;)]

If you do manage to get a game CD from E-Bay, make sure you get the game's serial number so that you can load the game and the subsequent downloads - otherwise it could be a real bummer.

If he gets an original CD then the serial number is printed ON the CD.

I've got an original CD and the serial number is NOT printed on it - it is seperate.

Mine is on the CD and i got it innovember for christmas well parents got it in november i got it december 25th.

I think the serial has to change ownership somehow if it has been registered in the members area...

The first release of WITP, at Origins back in '04, did not have the serial number printed on the disc. I do not know how many of these were made (without the serial #), but I do know that the first ones were released that way.

This is a normal shop, you get legal copies with serial.

You can order it to be send abroad -- I think transportation costs to wherever you are shall be higher than the cost of a CD...

Just guessing here, but i suspect rogueusmc is thinking that the store mentioned is ripping-off Matrix in some fashion. $6 is way, way below the current US price.
