Statute Miles or Nautical Miles?

I've read in a few posts that the hex scale is in statute rather than nautical miles. If this is true, which I don't doubt, the 2by3 Games website is giving incorrect info, as it states that the hexes are in nautical miles. (I know, people make mistakes and sometimes even deceive us!)

It's just a bit of a pity, as I have been making (for WPO) a western world map using nautical miles, because that it what it said on the website. I am not about to change now or start again, so I will continue working on the nautical mile map. Does any one have any opinion on how much they think it will affect game play?

Works fine. Ships never make true speed over ground = speed in the water anyway.

Thanks for the input. That's good to hear.

I don't think it is a problem, as long as you use NM for calculating any aircraft speeds (instead of statute MPH) in the scenarios.
