I would just like to say that I am very impressed with this game and the manual. I am still trying to learn it (that's a GREAT thing) and I am very excited to be able to play it well. This is the greatest War between the States game I have ever played. It's great how you listen to the forums, talk with us, and let us be a part of the game making process. Keep up the fantastic work.

Thanks for your comments, Odium.
(Side note: it's posts like this that remind me how happy I am that Matrix doesn't have those stupid valentine emoticons that some other forums have. War-gamers should never give each other valentines (or give them to developers!), and yet that happens a bit too much in certain quarters...)

Not sure I like all the proposed changes. Havent played in a bit cause of stomach problems. What I am reading is sounding more and more like a different game all together.

Twotribes,
I hope you feel better soon. Give the changes a try, it does not feel like a different game IMHO, just a much improved one.
Regards,
- Erik

Its a good game, and I made sure to buy a hard copy, which will remain unopened unless I lose the hard drive.
The only nice thing about being to sick to play is by the time I can do it, It wont matter if a good game is different from the good game I bought ), if you get my drift.. LOL.

My only compensation when I am sick is that I can spend more time playing at the computer. When you're too sick to do that, life really sucks.

I can post stuff and I can do mindless stuff, but the stomach usually hurts to much to concentrate on what I am planning in a major war game. One more test to go.
So far all they have noticed is my stomach is enflamed, their not sure why. I get along ok, just cant play FOf well ( not that I was ever any good LOL ) or enjoy SpWAW or the other two SP games.

Twotribes,
I hope you feel better quickly. That doesn't sound pleasant.

Hi all,
I thought this might be a good thread to add a me too post about this fine game.
I played the heck out of Frank Hunter's ACW for years and still had pbem games going on only a year or two ago. First impressions are that this is a worthy spiritual successor to that venerable game. I'm hoping it will take up the majority of my gaming time over the next year.
BTW, where are folks finding pbem opponents? I didn't see a ladder yet at wargamer.com and the sticky up page doesn't look too busy.
Best, -Chuck
