Just looking through the CHS database device list and I noticed something odd about Soviet squads. In slot 377, the 39 Rifle Squad, the anti soft value is 39, and the 41 Rifle Squad drops to 30. The 43 Rifle Squad is only 34. Is this a typo? This appears to be there in stock. It looks like it was changed in RHS.

I also notice the Soviet Squads have a penetration value and most other squads don't. What does that field represent for squads?

It may be part of the stock design - which imatiated the Soviets in terms of unit types and numbers. Vast amounts of stuff is missing. But what is PRESENT is grossly overstated. Many squads have values that make no sense - some do not even exist in any OB - but probably were intended to be used. I also do not know what model was used for penetration, but clearly the game intends it to mean "penetration of armor in mm at point blank range". So I associate each squad with its best anti-armor weapon (even a rifle has a penetration value of 7 or 8 mm) - and that is how it goes.
I didn't do it abstractly, but squad by squad, weapon by weapon.
