Yesterday I played some MP Games with an old friend on my home LAN. I will give some short AARs on them.

1. The technical configuration
First PC: Intel P4 2,93 Ghz, 1 GB RAM (hosting the server and operating one client)
Second PC: AMD Athlon 2000+, 1 GB RAM (operating the other client)
Connected via direct link cable; speed 100mbits

2. ANW
H3 ANW 3.8.0 RC8

"A Fight to the Death"

One of those classical original scenarios. My friend who loves US CVBGs got US side and I had to try the Soviet side. I remember that it was possible to win Soviet side against the computer AI - but against an experienced Harpooner who started back in 1990 with Harpoon for Macintosh?

Sadly I was right: At first he levelled Kevlavik flat with clouds of Tomahawks. I was fast enough to get my bombers up but his radar was so superior to mine that I lost all the bombers trying to get a solid fix on the CVBG.

Next he started to pressurize my carrier based AC. Well, what to do with 8 Flankers and 2 Fulcrums? I shot down a few Hornets but then it was over - air battle lost.

Next he came with nasty F-18 attacks: TALDs so I had to waste my SAMs, then Harms, then Harpoons.

Well, thats the whole sad story!

Resumé :
1. Technical: No crash, running fast as hell, no bug detected.
2. Game Play: The scenario is just too unbalanced - Soviet side is too weak. Needs more recce birds, jammers and bombers, and of course..subs
