I just want to be sure,since this is the main reason I would order a CD version in addition to the download version.

I'm sure the physical shipment version for BF includes a printed manual.  Pretty sure this is the way a physical shipment comes now for all new Matrix games.

Matrix staff would have answer questions about ordering physical shipment that doesn't have the hardcopy manual with it... think some older games may not have a printed manual yet.

Yes it comes with a full colour printed manual exactly like the pdf manual that comes with the digital download. Its great [8D]

I would kind of disagree with the manual being great. It is very confusing, and not well organized. In particular, it talks a lot about information in the unit display well before actually introducing the unit display. When the unit display is finally introduced, in section 16, there is no labeled picture explaining which of the various fields is which for an ordinary ground unit.
