Bug in combat resolution?

I patched to version 5.2 and now the combat odds don't seem to make sense.
In one MC1 scenario, not a single casualty was caused by either side with rifle fire for the entire scenario despite odds of 90+ consistently. And yes I'm positive, I watched very carefully. Only MG fire caused any casualties and usually only once in 5-6 90+ percentage shots.
Now in another scenario, I'm shooting MG's, main guns, and everything else at shown odds of 99% and getting maybe one hit in ten. This occurs at all ranges.
Anybody have any ideas why? Visibility is good.
As a result, nobody is getting hurt and are just running around shooting.

This is addressed in ver 5.3

But to reiterate, teh hit chance is the chace of getting effective fire onto the target, that may or may not casue casualties based on the cover and status of teh unit. Like with heavily armored tanks, infantry in good cover can be hit by lots of fire, but few killed.

Infantry is most vulnerable when moving and after tyhe first few shots hit the dirt and are much tougher to kill.

Tactics is not about anhilation of the enemy, but using fire and mnauever to take the objectives.

Players who use teh tactic of just wiping everything out and then taking the objects will find teh changes invalidata that dubious tactic (unless you REALLY have a lot fo firepower...)
