As the South had virtually won the war (Nat. Will) - General Lee decided to move the ANV North and take the Cumberland province in Maryland.

There's a fortress there and Lee started a siege "attack the fortress".

A detailed battle is loaded and the army of Lee (120.000) men charges onto the fortress walls. A staggering 30.000 confederate soldiers die and the fortress loses about 2000 soldiers out of 6.000.

Now for starters - I do accept that I didn't capture the fortress - but it seems I lost a battle and Lee tretreated the ANV back to the South - is this WAD ?

Was this your first "Attack the Fort"? If so, I'm guessing it's just a matter of practice for you to get the tactics down.

I think the retreat after any battle loss is WAD. "Attack the Fort" is considered a battle rather than a siege, per se.
