Mouse Error

Got a new MS mouse. Installed the latest driver for it. Went to open ToS and got the following error:
TCC: Error loading mouse pointer! Any way to fix this short of putting back my old mouse? Thanks.

Sorry, no idea what the problem can be. Seems old mouse for TOS.

Well, that's too bad. Changing the mouse every time I want to play ToS would be too much.

Is there any chance this could be due to some fancy pointers you have installed, and just reverting to the standard Windows pointer (keeping the mouse) will fix the issue? Some games do have problems with alternative schemes for the look of the pointer.

Nope. That isn't it. I always use the standard pointers ever since, 15 years ago, the fancy pointers caused a blinking problem in Harpoon. Thanks for trying though.
