I really do love MFB, but have gotten frustrated lately. It just takes so long to do some things. Setting Depth Charts, working on playbooks, ar among a couple of things that come to mind. Just had to vent......

That's what we are here for 21SEC. I really believe the harder something is the sweeter the reward.

I know I just had to vent. Whipped out EA's NCAA Football and remembered why I had already invested so much time with MFB[:D]

I occasionally boot up Madden02 or 04....I notice how pretty it is then think...oh, you cant do that, and this, and so on. Not knocking Madden at all, still have it installed, but im spoiled now. I remember making a list of things I would like to see in a PC football game, in the late 80s when I bought Super Sunday for my C128. It took nearly 20 years but David finally hooked me up. FBpro was close, still have that installed also.

Good to see another SEC fan here. Im a UK fan in Gator country...sigh :-(

SUPER SUNDAY!

Oh how I loved that game.

FPS for me was the Holy Grail...until now[;)]

Agreed. Did you ever get the Microleague games. They had baseball and Football. Basically the Football one was a juiced up Super Sunday. I know you could create leagues...much fun.

Name it I owned it...no kidding. I love football and football games. Microleague was solid but suffered some minor bugs. I know what you mean though it was a 'Roid Sunday' for sure. A friend and I hacked Super Sunday and tweaked and edited...man that was fun. It was losely based on the table top game Statis Pro Football...we couldn't get enough. Prior to FPS it was Microleague and the IBM game...I can't remeber the name...but it was very good stat simmer.

This is what is really cool about MAXFb...we are spoiled. I can directly communicate (well not directly but close) with the game designer. Post bugs reports, updates, ask for guidance, help etc., etc.

It gives me hope this one will grow, evolve and last.

I don't take it for granted that's for sure.

Yea, after the FBPro99 debacle, it just died for PC football. No offense to the text based games, but even they werent as flexible. I dont like the NFL format. Love the NFL, but when playing i like to do my own thing. Most teams I would ever want to have in a league is 12.

I was the same with Football, had the above mentioned, plus Joe Montana, NFL Football from XOR(the one with actual Xs and Os. Madden from 01-04 and FBpro 96-99. Unnecessary Roughness, and a couple I dont know the names, one let you play from leather helmets to modern, the other had Bill Cowher and Greg Lloyd on the cover. Always went back to FBpro.

Oh, and one of my all time favorites....Tecmo Bowl on the Sega Genesis

Too many teams...agreed. That's why I'm running a Super Six league.

I can handle it, ever game counts, I can get to know the players and the superstars. I have friends that played FPS with me and we still talk about our old superstars...we managed to play the first game as a career with 12 human owners for 12 seasons...that seems impossible now...even with online support.

12 maybe 16. I made an indoor with 32 AFL...too much.

Legends football! Yes it was Uness. roughness with all the old rules, rosters, stadiums etc...that game had real potential. MAX FB has done it now though.

I was PC/IBM/Commodore kid. I didn't own a console (well Atari...but didn't everyone?) until the PS2. I hate to say it I never played Tecmo Bowl[:(].
