I'm trying to install DirectX (not sure which I think its 7) and I get error code 14 as soon as I start the install procedure.

Does anyone know what error 14 is and where a list of errors is? I've tried the MS KB & DirectX pages without success,

Hi Larry

You know, microsoft's help files actually contain useful information sometimes...when you find them.

According to them an error code 14 means that you are trying to install on a system which has same or later version already installed.
