“Good evening everyone. I have selected Mr. Scott as the next head coach of the Los Angeles Dons,” said Gordon Hill. “I believe he is the best man for the job and fits the position well. I and General Manager Webster Lewis will retain all player personnel decisions and maintain the roster as we see fit. Mr. Scott understands and accepts these limitations and assures me he can do the job. Also, Mr. Scott retains the control over coaching staff decisions and will be free to name his Offensive and Defensive coordinators,” concluded Hill.

“Effective immediately Cole Williams will no longer coach the New York Tycoons,” announced Owner Charles O’Grady at his afternoon press conference, “We have decided to promote current Defensive coordinator, Freddie Harris to the position of Head Coach.”
“I’m excited at the chance to get New York on track and win some ball games,” remarked Harris, “although this team needs some serious talent evaluation and maybe a complete re-tooling I am convinced we have a core to build from, Yach is the leagues best receiver but he could use some help and defensive leader Ferndez provides outstanding play and leadership,” concluded Harris.
“I’m happy to see Coach Harris has been promoted and given the opportunity,” remarked Ferndez from his home in South Carolina, “it’s nice to see loyalty rewarded and an African American get the nod,” he finished.
