optional settings

Jurious curious. What settings do you turn off and optional settings do you turn on?

I have a bias in favor of playing the default settings, but turn off CSA emancipation and, if I'm playing the standard Nov scenario (which somewhat overbalances the CSA), I follow the "official" advice of plus-2 Union, richer economy, and higher population.

I'm especially curious if there are features you just don't like and always turn off.

I am still playing with which options I like. I did try supply once and my money went to "0". I tried tweaking it a bit but I wasn't ready to mess with it. Most of my options are on except fast seige.

I always turn off upkeep. I usually use more generals and am half and half on historic or random settings for them. I always use more population and greater economy.

I like to play with historical general ratings on.  Just makes the roleplaying/historical aspect more enjoyable.  That is currently the only default setting on Advanced that I change.
