Gone Gold : UFO: Extraterrestrials Is Gold

The anticipated sci-fi strategy title is now gold.


Tri Synergy has announced that their highly anticipated sci-fi strategy title, UFO: Extraterrestrials, has gone gold. UFO: Extraterrestrials combines fast-paced real time action on the strategic level with intense turn-based tactical battles. This real time strategy/turn-based tactical blend will be available May 1st for digital download from Matrix Games, with a retail store release during the second week of May.

To celebrate the arrival of the Gold-Master build of UFO: Extraterrestrials, Tri Synergy is releasing a sneak peek at the opening cinematic trailer in addition to a new bundle of screenshots, with more gameplay footage and screens to follow.

Don't bring up the cinematic trailer, again, dude! Once was funny, twice may cause me to start bringing things up as well.

Let me give you some updates so you have the lastest news. 
 
1) Matrix's Digital Download, Game On Demand and the Tri Synergy Retail release will not have Starforce security on it.  We use our own serial security only.  
2) The game will at this point be available for download around May 5, 2007.  This is pretty firm now.  We needed a few more days since our Gold Master to us was a few days behind everyone else.
3) The download version of the game will cost $39.99 USD our Game On Demand (Boxed version) will cost $49.99 plus shipping.  Our Game On Demand version will ship with a manual as well.

I think the background question most are trying to ask, is a lot of people have the game on preorder, will the game be released here about the same time as from the places they got the game on pre order from ?
 
for me, at least, I would rather give my money to you, then to another store

As far as i know the european. and i see u base in UK, publisher is paradox. So u cant buy through matrix.
Again as far as i know its only avaible for DD atm, so no box. I assume there will be later.

About selling to Euro customors?

Well i have no insight into Matrix's deals, so all this is pure speculation.

I assume the company behind the game has made deals that spreds out the publishing rights.
This would mean that the publishers are bound my clauses in the deals only to sell to customors in their region.
If this is correct again stipulating its pure speculations on my part that matrix wont be able to sell a boxed version to Euro customors for a forseeble future.

I underline for 3rd time this is just speculation on my part, based in what i know of such deals in general from other publishers. Its even possible they cant disclose such.
