Well, I am looking forward to it also. I never played the original, but my friend raved about it...and it takes him a long time to get worked up about a game...he's not the "hype" follower.
Bloody itchy now!! [:'(]

Well, if you haven't played the original, you're in for a serious treat. [:)] The original UFO (or XCOM) is the only old game that I actually play regularly. I just love it and if UFO:ET manages to come close to its ancestor (something that has been confirmed), I'm gonna be playing UFO:ET for a long time to come.

I cannot believe I posted this and then discovered I won't, actually, be able to buy it...how ironic.
To all my Euro friends, I apologise if it was this post that brought the "buying" curse on us! [&o]

Well, it seems us Euros (at least, the ones that want a physical copy of the game) are stuck for a bit longer. Well, a "bit" is putting it mildly ... Anyhow, Judge, I suggest we start pestering all these lucky dogs for info, screens and videos. Heck, AAR's even!
...
Who am I kidding? This isn't easing the pain.
*shakes fist at Paradox*

Why don't you simply get it from GamersGate? Not that I care whether you do, but evidently you'd like to have the game, so I don't really understand your point. Well, I guess it's your choice.

Because, it appears that Gamers Gate have an eLicense thing going on that allows 3 installs and then you have to ask for a new key blah blah. I have already been bitten once with a game I purchased recently with eLicenses...so I will not buy a game with eLicences anymore.
I don't know if this is correct yet (a poster said it was, although not necessarily for this game) so I have to check it out. When I do, I'll be sure to post my findings.

I agree with JudgeDredd. I could get the game from GG, but I don't like the "internet required for first time run". What if GG ever goes out of business or gets shut down? No more use of the key then. Sure, the odds that GG goes out of business soon are very slim, but stranger things have happend.
Besides, I want a nice boxed copy too, something that GG doesn't supply.
