I want to download Forge of Freedom & the new X-com game.
But the strange refund policy has got me a little scared.
I downloaded Uncommon Valor a year ago, and never got it to work...still!!!!
Yet i'm stuck with this and can't get my money back... for what?
Please explain why this is your policy, I don't understand why a company would have this
non-consumer type of policy?

Just try to return an opened software game at Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA or GoGamer. It's no different than Battlefront, or GamersGate's policy. I suggest you post your issues with Uncommon Valor in the UV tech support forum, or email Matrix Support.

Walmart takes opened software back without any trouble. So does Target.

Oh wow, I didn't know Walmart had this games, Thanks so much!!!!!
I'm just concerned about people selling games that don't work, and not being accountable.

I did post my problems with Uncommom Valor support.
We never got it to work.
But again, my concern was with X-com and the return policy.
And I don't ever get games at Best Buy or Circuit City for that very reason.
Gamestop at least allows returns based on defective products.
My BIG CONCERN is why a company would set their policy to ALL SALES ARE FINAL,
when that really means, too bad if you get a bad product, F**k you very much.

Actually, it's because of the digital download. That's a lot different than a boxed game as far as the customer returning the product. How do you return a digital download?
Nevertheless, it's also our policy that if we can't get the game to work for you, we issue a refund. That's always been the way we operate. The policy is there as the actual policy to frankly discourage people who would buy a digital download, play it and the decide on a whim to demand a refund because it either wasn't their favorite game ever or just because they can and we would have no product to actually have "returned".
Regards,
- Erik

Game works fine!! The issue I had with the manual not loading was fixed with a simple reboot. Matrix is alot more helpful regarding software support than any Walmart I've run accross.

I didn't say Walmart helped people with software problems. I simply stated that Walmart takes opened software back.
