Preferably 1942 campaign. House rules are ok but no limitation of production.

The 42-campaign is extremly unbalanced, there is no chance for the russians. If the german player wants to take Moscow seriously, the city will fall after 6 - 8 weeks (in maximum). No way for the russians to prevent this, the same with Leningrad ...

There is no balanced campaign.

1941 Germans win unless they make stupid mistakes regardless Soviet actions.

1943 There is no chance for the Germans to win - they basically can't capture Moscow or other cities to have enough VP.

1944 - the most unbalanced campaign. Germans loose whatever stupid mistakes Soviet player makes...

I think 1942 is the least unbalanced campaign...

Good point [8D] But I think in 41 campaign the Russian player still has a chance, in 42 he hasn't. I Hope, I'm not to overbearing, but I 'm sure, that Moscow and Leningrad will fall both until September, maybe Gorki too, the Red Airforce is to weak.
If you want to teach me the opposite, send me pm with your suggested housrules [:D]

still some thoughts to this point ...

balance is one aspect, historical accurateness the other side

1942 - in real may be there was still a poor little chance for the Axis to win, but in game Axis will win everytime.

1943 - in real Germany never had a chance to win, a scenario with this opportunity would be very unrealistic, Germanys only chance in 43 could be a draw. However in WiR the german Player can not achieve a real draw, only a draw by time limit, before the russians reach Berlin some weeks or few months later, so the scenario is really a little bit unbalanced.

1944 - in real the war was already lost, no way to win, no way for a draw. Any other balance would make the scenario absolute unrealistic (but may be it could be interesting to play it with the option "max help axis"?)
