Missing promotions

Included a picture to illustrate my point. Guy has 52 xp should have 3 promotions for 3 dots but only got 1 cuz all 40 was gotten in same mission.
There are cases where u dont get the promotions ur xp should give you.
For example in late game the aliens give high xp per kill so if u kill 1 or 2 with a totally new guys u might get 30 50 xp warrenting 2 3 promotions. Apparently the game handles promotions in the way u can only get 1 promotion even if eligible for more.
Also if clicking to fast u might miss a promotion.
IMHO a change is warrented in where after each mission instead of checking to see if u had during that particular mission reached a promotion threshold. It should check ur over all xp vs where u are rank wise currently. That way u still only get 1 promotion per mission, but in missions where u didnt per current rules get promotions, cuz of lack of passing a promotion threshold, u would get the promotions you had missed.
