Those of you who have been around for a while will remember previous discussions of the role of the special abilities "Heroes" and "Dreaded" in the game. Now that the changes have been made, how are people finding them? Any additional suggestions for which generals should teach these? Etc. etc.

In regards to Hero / dreaded my opinion is that its working fine. Now with the limit that u cant teach until moral 4. Then if i had the guts, but i fear that Eric would hunt me down with a chopping axe, i might had said that the limitation on 4/5 star are possibly redundant. So i think if its the best if staying in place and i wont wana land in a situasion where the limit is removed only for me to ask to get it back again.[8|]
I wont even think of what he might do then.[:D]
Kind regards,
Rasmus

No matter how cool your troops special abilities are...... without good tactical battle plans, it's all useless. I've found that a mediocre brigade at the right time at the right place is more important then fancy special abilites.

Very true, but having 18 out of 25 units in ur army with heros certainly helps too. In pratice ur units being more or less full moral at all times, less the very low moral units that will run instandly. Not that u cant blow such a battle if u want too.
Kind rgeards,

I guess we'll keep things the way they are, then, or at least not change them until people have a lot more FOF hours under their belts. My overall sense is that in addition to Heroes/Dreaded, the systems for letting units gain abilities is far better than in the initial release, and is a definite improvement to the game. Which is why God invented patches.
